Privacy Policy — TruckPay

1. Who We Are

TruckPay ("we", "us", or "our") is a Progressive Web App operated by Sanjar Azizov, designed to help truck drivers track their weekly earnings, deductions, and expenses. The app is available at truckpay.app.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely via Supabase Auth).

Profile Information: You may optionally provide your name, phone number, driver type, pay rates, weekly goals, and related preferences.

Load & Financial Data: You enter load reports, earnings, deductions, mileage, and expense data. This data is stored in your private account.

Receipt Images: If you use the AI Receipt Scanner feature, images are sent to OpenAI's API (via our server-side Edge Function) for data extraction and are not stored after processing.

Advertising Measurement Data: If you choose “Allow cookies,” OpenAI Ads may receive important page visits and completed sign-up, free-access, checkout, and subscription events, plus whether you finish or skip the first-run Quick Tour. This may include a first-party attribution cookie, the page address without its query string, browser information, and securely hashed email or account identifiers. We do not send your raw email address or raw account ID for advertising measurement. Your measurement choice is saved for up to 180 days and can be changed below.

3. How We Use Your Information

To provide and operate the TruckPay app and its features
To calculate your earnings, deductions, per diem, and IFTA reports
To authenticate your account securely
To process subscription payments via Stripe
To send password reset emails when requested
To improve the app based on usage patterns
To understand which ads lead to sign-ups and subscriptions, only when you allow measurement

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

TruckPay uses the following third-party services to operate:

Supabase — Database and authentication (Privacy Policy)
Stripe — Payment processing for subscriptions (Privacy Policy). We never store your card details — Stripe handles all payment data.
OpenAI — Receipt image analysis via AI (only when you use the Scan Receipt feature) and optional OpenAI Ads conversion measurement when you allow it (Privacy Policy)
Google Maps API — ZIP code to city/state lookup and mileage estimation (Privacy Policy)
Netlify — App hosting (Privacy Policy)

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database with row-level security — only you can access your own data. Supabase is hosted on AWS infrastructure in the United States.

Passwords are never stored in plain text. Authentication tokens are handled securely by Supabase Auth.

While we take reasonable security measures, no system is 100% secure. Please use a strong, unique password for your account.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page inside the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access and export your data (use the Export CSV feature in the app)
Correct inaccurate data (edit any load, deduction, or profile field)
Delete your account and all data (available in Settings)

8. Children's Privacy

TruckPay is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
